Dandenong is thrilled to have two Panthers named in the VicSpirit squad for 2017/18. Nicole Faltum joins the squad after representing Victoria twice at U18 level and receiving a rookie contract with the Melbourne Renegades in 2016/17, while Sophie Molineux returns to the squad following her debut season in 2016/17 which saw her named the inaugural Betty Wilson Young Player of the Year at the Alan Border medal.
Both Nicole and Sophie originally hail from Gippsland and proudly continue Dandenong's connection with the region.
This follows news that the Panthers will also have five players in Cricket Victoria’s U19 trial squads. Edward Newman, Lachy MacCorquodale and Matt Wetering form part of the Metro squad, while Kim Drew and Koby Brann, who are also products of Gippsland, are in the Country squad.
