Dandenong Cricket Club is thrilled to welcome Ellyse Perry for Season 2019/20.
Ellyse Perry is a name that needs no introduction.
Perry has an on-field CV chock full of records and international achievements, for DCC though, they are equally excited for the addition of another quality personality.
“We are ecstatic to have not only the caliber of cricketer Ellyse is, but also the person she is, around our club,” President Gary Davidson said.
“We take great pride in the culture we have built and continue to build on and believe Ellyse will contribute to that perfectly. She will be a real boost for not just our women’s program, but our whole club.”
It’s a culture that has seen the club build a strong reputation throughout the competition, not just of success, but of a supportive club moving in the right direction. It is perhaps unsurprising then the Perry’s addition follows a string of new signings at Shepley.
Suraj Randiv is the other big name to be confirmed as a Panther, and between the two Dandenong hope the added star power will assist as they work to create stronger connections with the local community.
“It’s a real focus for us this year,” said Davidson, “We know we have this vibrant and diverse community right on our doorstep and they have world-class cricket right on theirs. We want to make sure we’re bringing the two together.”
Dandenong kick off their season this weekend with the Men’s XIs taking on Melbourne Uni on Saturday (Firsts and Thirds at home) and the Women’s XIs both at home against Plenty Valley in two double headers on Sunday.
