Season 2020/21 will see Nicole Faltum named captain of our women's First XI. She has been a strong figure for Dandenong for a long time, and will do an outstanding job leading our current playing group into a period of sustained success.
Supporting her this season will be Kim Garth who brings with her a wealth of knowledge from her vast experience in international cricket having captained Ireland and being a regular feature for both the Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers in the WBBL competition.
Jess Matin also steps into the leadership group for season 2020/21. Jess has shown an exceptional understanding of the game in recent years and will prove to be a positive influence on the whole club.
To Emma Gallagher who has captained the WP1s the previous two seasons, we would like to acknowledge the countless hours you do behind the scenes to keep the team going. You've always been a great leader behind the scenes and now, you've shown to be just as strong on-field as well. You are a First XI Premiership captain and have set a fantastic foundation for the clubs future success.
Our WP2 side will again be captained by Keely Pace who continues to grow as a leader and will no doubt excel once again. Keely will be supported by a strong leadership group involving Alanah Mison, Jess Caron and Zoe Burke who all bring a strong desire to lead from the front and continue Dandenong Cricket Club's push for success.
Both First and Second XI groups have the fantastic opportunity to be mentored by former Victorian captain, Dandenong Assistant Coach and player, Kelly Applebee who has already commenced working with both leadership groups in preparation for season 2020/21.
