Cameron Forsyth Life Membership
Date of Event Dandenong Cricket Club : Thu May 12, 2022 9:08PM

Cameron was formally awarded life membership at our 2021-22 Presentation Night but unfortunately illness prevented him being there. In a speech in recognition of the award, his brother paid tribute to his love of the club, his loyalty and sense of team in all he does. Cameron strives to be a positive influence on everyone at the club through his playing ability, volunteering and frequently assisting others to improve their game. He actively seeks out opportunities to mentor and guide younger players.

In the 2007/08 season at the age of 15, Cameron commenced playing for Dandenong and worked steadily through the grades to debut in the 1st XI in 2012/13. During his debut season he made his first century batting with our notable pro Andrew Gale, finishing not out and instrumental in an outright win. Cam has played 231 matches for the club including 103 in the 1st XI, scoring 5526 runs, with an average of 29.39, including 7x 100’s and 29x 50’s.

This season saw Cam play his 14th consecutive season as a talented, respected and highly valued member of the Panthers.

Cam’s cheery and welcoming nature has always been on display both at the club and when hosting Presentation Nights and assisting with our academy teams. Together with game knowledge, he has become an excellent leader at the club and a welcome backup to his brother in the field. Off the field, Cam is a lawyer who is carving a career in commercial law, despite working long hours he makes the effort to be at training and works uncompromisingly at getting the most out of a session.

Cameron is a tremendous example of working hard to improve and reaping the rewards of effort which culminated with a premiership in the ones in 2017-18.

Congratulations Cam on receiving life membership.
